I hope this page gives you a glimpse of who I am—not only as a therapist, but as a person.
My Journey
For more than 30 years, I've had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in a variety of settings, including community mental health, medical social work, crisis services, schools, and private practice.
Along the way, my own journey has included unexpected bridges.
Like many helping professionals, I experienced burnout and chose to step into education for several years as a high school CTE teacher. That chapter reminded me how much I love helping people learn, grow, and discover their potential. It also strengthened the teaching and mentoring skills I now bring to both my clients and the social workers I supervise.
Years later, I found myself facing another bridge when I was diagnosed with Double Hit Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma. Walking through cancer treatment gave me a deeper appreciation for vulnerability, resilience, and hope. It reminded me that healing isn't always linear and that some of life's greatest lessons come through experiences we never would have chosen.
Those experiences didn't change my commitment to helping others—they deepened it.
